10. Window Condition

Home Inspection Observations:

• Solar screen retainers need replacing at several locations.
• Evidence of water spotting between panes at windows on the east and west sides and dining area suggest seals have failed. This can reduce the windows ability (small margin air filled, larger margin gas filled cells) to protect from noise and temperatures. Suggest evaluation by a licensed window specialty contractor.
• Owner informed inspector that several windows have cells replaced along back of house.
• Solar shades prevent a complete inspection of windows. Suggest removal and inspection by licensed window contractor.
• Window trim short at windows on east side of house.
• Some window screens missing and some damaged.
